Basketball, or at least the basic components of it, has been a sport since the very beginnings of the ancient Mayan and Incan empires. Basketball, in a sense is a great American past time that still flourishes in generations to come. Though it was not created in the cultural realm of the United States, it has flourished in America and so it has become more and more popular with ease, with the overwhelming support of the entire American fans of the sport of basketball. Players and their fans help keep the sport alive with a great performance and wonderful spirit up in the stands.
