We have adopted a Tuatara ( see photograph above ) through the Auckland Zoo. We elected to adopt this animal in captivity, as Tuatara's are only found on the offshore islands of New Zealand and we think it's very important that people can see the Tuatara, as it is totally unique to New Zealand. We also wish to support the superb work the Zoo does for conservation.
