Accomodation For London Olympics 2010
Tickets for the London Olympics don't go on sale until 2011, nevertheless OIympic fans are being urged to reserve their accommodation sooner rather than later.
According to the official website, a little known fact is that London only has 100,000 hotel places available for guests during the games.
10,000,000 Tickets Are Expected To Be Made Available To The Public.
London2012.com states that tickets for the Olympic and Paralympics will be made available in 2011. Even though it has not said exactly when the tickets for each of the sports will be offered for sale to the public. You need to apply online for e-mail updates.
In total, approximately eight million tickets will be available for the Olympic Games, with another 2 million for the Paralympic Games which follows. There is no cut off to purchase tickets for the main events. If they are not sold out then tickets will still be made available until the opening of each competative event. From past experience, you can be certain that for the prestige competitions such as track/field days and the London Olympics closing ceremony, there will be huge demand and tickets will sell out lightening fast.
The same will be true for somewhere for you and your family to find a hotel. Whilst Great Britain's Capital is a major city, it has few rooms by proportion. So you would be advised to also consider serviced apartments as an option.
There Are More Than 3000 Serviced Apartments In London
Putting your family in a luxury serviced apartment for your Olympic trip could be a wise option. The apartments range in size, accomodating between two and six people you have the option to do you own cooking and washing in a peaceful, four star place.
London has a good transport network which will be further improved in time for 2012 so you are fairly free to select an apartment or hotel from Canary Wharf to Holborn to Westminster.
