Book A Villa Holiday in Lanzarote
Lanzarote in the Canary Islands has been a favoured vacation destination for over 4 decades, due to its benign year round climate, an abundance of quality beaches and relatively unspoilt scenery. As the most easterly Canary Island it is closer to Africa than the Spanish mainland. The first major tourist hotspot to be developed on Lanzarote was Puerto del Carmen which nestles on the south eastern coastline.
The island is favoured as much for its winter climate as for the hot weather that prevails during the summer, and even though you wouldn’t expect it in the autumn through to the spring daily temperatures are often a steady 20º-24º. Making the island a popular year round destination, with a varied choice of Lanzarote villas and accommodation to suit all budgets and visitor tastes.
In recent years, there has been a considerable increase in the availability of quality villas in Lanzarote available for rental. Making do it yourself holiday getaways in the sun a strong favourite with many tourists. The range of Lanzarote villas is extensive, especially in the established preffered resorts of Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca.
Most Lanzarote villas come with a swimming pool (sizes will vary), secluded tropical gardens and interiors tastefully decorated and fitted with all modern conveniences, for example a dishwasher (who wants to wash up on holiday?), internet access and essentially in the hot summer months air conditioning. And often they have extras such as Jacuzzis, pool tables and even DVD or videos for the kids. With prices starting from around the £500 per week mark for a standard two bedroom rental property.
There is also a good selection of self catering accommodation in Lanzarote available to hire, with a high number concentrated in the centre of Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote’s favourite and most established resort on the island. Apartment complexes provide all the equipment expected of self-catering accommodation, and most will have sunbathing facilities and a shared or communal pool.
The area also boasts some outstanding sandy beaches and as a bonus most are within a few minutes walk form the accommodation.
If you like to persue an active lifestyle during your vacation you’ll be well catered for in Puerto del Carmen, with plenty to do including sport fishing and guided walks. all readily available to holidaymakers. And those who enjoy their nightlife are also well catered for, with plenty of restaurants and bars with sea views or arranged around the vibrant old town harbour.
One particular aspect of the island is very aparrant to most visitors and that is the lack of development which has been resticted to ensure that it carries on offering an enjoyable vacation experience, whilst still maintaining its unique history and culture. Making holidays in Lanzarote ideal for discerning travellers who require modern amenities and services in a relatively untouched setting.
