For The Best Rental Yields This Season Its Got To be French Alps Property In The Three Valleys
Get your snow boots, break out those skis and practice some moves – the new ski season is almost upon us. But with so many destinations to pick from, where is the best place to buy a French Ski property?
According to the latest data from popular holiday rental site, HomeAway Holiday-Rentals, investors after high rental yields should look at the Three Valleys which boasts the highest average weekly rental rate of £1,200 for a 2 bedroom chalet.
Despite being ranked fourth most popular French Alps resort by the amount of enquiries, the Three Valleys, home to the prestigious ski resorts of Courchevel, Meribel and Les Menuires, trumps neighbouring Tignes Sainte Foy, Les Arcs and Portes du Soleil where rental incomes average between £1,130, £970 and £960 per week respectively.
Ed Scott, French Ski property expert and ski enthusiast at Experience International, comments,
“It’s not hard to see why chalets in Three Valleys are so attractive to many people. It’s the biggest ski area in the world with more than 600km of ski slopes, 120km for cross-country skiing and 183 ski lifts. With a top elevation of 3,230m, snowfall in the Three Valleys is very reliable but just in case there are almost 2000 snow cannons in ready to produce snow.”
The resort of Les Menuires, situated in the Belleville valley of Les Trois Vallées, in particular provides French ski property owners strong rental yields. Located at an altitude of 1,850m, the vibrant resort has a long ski season therefore maximising rental potential. Most ski slopes begin or end near to the town creating a friendly and lively atmosphere in the restaurants and piste-side bars and the resort is also popular with both international visitors and the French.
One new development called Les Chalets du Doron, with its beautiful riverside location, has provided some of the most sought after French ski properties for sale. Comprising two individual chalets, the charming French Alps property architecture will reflect the traditions of the region and blend with the natural environment and picturesque Alpine landscape. Located only 10 minutes from the ski lift enabling quick access to the slopes.
Only a couple of luxury chalets are still available at Les Chalets du Doron from €780,000 for a 2/3 bed and €1,250,000 for a 3/4 bed.
