Hawaii has many things that make it one of the most breathtaking places to visit. Over all, there are eight major Islands in Hawaii which can serve as great location. Let us have a look at few of those Islands.

Island of Hawaii: The Island of Hawaii is nicknamed as ‘The Big Island’ as it is not just the biggest of Hawaiian Islands but also the biggest Island in America. It is also the most favorite of all the Islands and hence, most developed. The Hilina Slump and the Great Crack are major attractions on this island.

Island of Muai: This is the second biggest Island of Hawaii and is nicknamed as the valley Isle. It is also one of the most populated of all the Hawaiian Islands. It is a whale watchers’ paradise because a number of humpback whales from Alaska gather here for the winter season.

Island of Oahu: It is the third biggest Hawaiian Island. Because of its amazing beauty, it attracts a lot of visitors and is the most populated one among all the Islands. Honolulu, the state capital of Hawaii is also present on this Island. Another basis for its fame is the number of prominent places which are well known such as Diamond Head crater, Pearl Harbor and the Valley of Temples.

The Island of Kauai: Also known as the Kauai Island is the fourth biggest Island of the Hawaiian Islands. It was the first Island to be discovered by Captain James Cook. Due to its breathtaking beauty, the Island has been the place for film shootings. Many well known films like the remake of King Kong and the Raiders of the Lost Ark were shot here on Kauai.

Molokai: Although quite smaller in size, but Molokai is considered as the most picturesque and beautiful Island in the area. It is also called as the friendly isle, as its breathtaking beauty is very warm and friendly for the visitors. It was on the tenth rank on the list of extremely sustainable destinations. The Molokai Island was on tenth place while the other Islands of Hawaii were above 50th rank. Although it is a place to see, the visitors rate is lower because of opposition from its community members. still, it is a place to see.
