Internationally Licensed Health Care Arrives in Guanacaste Costa Rica. Eventually

Health Check Costa Rica

The days of emergency medical airlifts from Guanacaste to San Jose for top hospital treatment will soon be gone. Sources in the surgery have informed Health Check Costa Rica that the Surgery Cima project in Liberia Guanacaste plans to open their doors in Feb 2012. Construction of the first phase of the hospice project is all but complete and the hospice is in the act of moving in apparatus for a February opening. The hospital will be starting with only around 10 beds but will be the 1st Joint Commission International Infirmary to open their doors in Guanacaste which is a region known often for pristine beaches, and a tourism dependent economy. Consequences of this will reverberate across the region as Guanacaste begins the evolution from a primarily traveller oriented economy to a wider based retirement and full time home destination.

The project has a new CIMA Hospital, a building with medical practice offices, a commercial section with eateries and an apartment hotel building specifically targeting retirees and Medical Travel patients. The hospital, as well as the other buildings, would be found next to the Do-it Center in the canton of Carrillo, on the road between Liberia Global Airfield and the region's beach resort areas, and intentionally close to the international Airfield which has become the hub of Guanacaste's fantastic expansion as a tourist destination in the last 10 years. This personal hospital not only would serve the local people that reside in Guanacaste but the growing foreign clientele looking for high-quality care."The number of patients may change thanks to the an undeniable fact that these facilities may not only serve patients from around the province, but also may serve foreigners visiting for Costa Rica Medical Tourism purposes.

Guanacaste has been through major transformations in recent years as the Government of Costa Rica has wisely been paying attention to major framework projects including road strategies and telecommunication sub-structure both of which have seen monumental jumps forward in recent years. Previously hard to reach beaches now boast beautifully paved roads complete along with reflectors, painted lines and street lights; something old hands will remember didn't exist on any roads only a few short years ago.

Additionally, thru numerous non-public investors Guanacaste has seen the growth and creation of everything from Global American Schools to non-public surgery hospitals, orthopedic centers, cosmetic surgery spas, and a range of spas, psychological fitness retreats, recovery centres, and more. The major private investment bucks flowing into major medical facilities in Liberia to the tune of almost half a bn. bucks has a ripple effect across Guanacaste as people follow the smart money into niche areas of the booming Medical Tourism industry. With increasing debate and arching costs of Health Care in the United States, the constantly increasing wait times in the socialized sector of Canadian Health care joined with the expansion of nonstop flights into the region from both states, Medical Tourism in Guanacaste is balanced for a boom, and the opening of the keenly anticipated CIMA branch in Liberia represents the first important walk in this direction.

. Globally licensed hospital therapy actually is the final piece of the puzzle for Guanacaste and defines a giant leap in the marketability of the region both as a Medical Travel and retirement destination but more importantly as a true long-term alternative approach to life choice for many Northern Americans. Low crime gorgeous weather and now excellent hospital treatment, quality accredited education, and all of the smashing things that have driven travellers here in droves is accompanied by the development of the regions first Worldwide commissioned hospice. Actually the best is yet to come.
