Notre Dame Catherdral Paris

Say the words Cathdrale de Notre-Dame and what springs to mind? For you it may be the scene where Lon attempts to seduce Emma in Madame Bovary, the picture of one of Monets many clear paintings, or the tomb containing the guts of Richard the Lionheart, but I think of Quasimodo and Esmeralda in Disneys The Hunchback of Notre lady. One of Frances most gorgeous Gothic Masterpieces, the Notre lady is as clear in the real world as it seems in the films.

So , get out of your location paris and make a day of seeing this pretty cathedral, open from 2-6pm Mon ; 8am-6pm Tue-Sun, admission to the cathedral is free. The Notre lady was reconstructed fter the second World War thanks to the eradication caused by shelling. The building that now stands there's the third church to have stood on the very same site, as over time different events have caused the churchs eradication. The first church was created in the third century, the second was robbed by the Vikings, and almost all of what you see these days was created in the 12 th and 13th centuries so that you can be warranted, its very old! The church also received a battering during the radical segment of the French Revolution in the 1790s, when much of its non secular images was damaged or annihilated.

Notre lady de Paris is widely considered one of the finest examples of French Gothic design. The name Notre lady means "Our woman" in French and this cathedral was one of the first Gothic churches, and its construction spanned the Gothic period. Its sculptures and stained glass show the heavy influence of naturalism, unlike that of earlier Romanesque design.

confirm this is on your list of destinations to see during your weekend or week long break to Paris, conveniently the cathedral is conveniently positioned in Paris, and close by you will find plenty of shops, eateries and sweet French cafes, among tons of location appartement paris.
