Scotland Golf Holiday - Fundamentals

Your grip. If you can Google up some instructional videos online, you just have to watch those closely. Mimic these.

Your stance matters. Plant your feet wide apart, wider than your shoulder’s width. Be sure to spread your balance evenly, on both feet.

Ball position. Position the club so that it's in the middle of your stance; make sure to lean slightly forward.

Posture. To an observer, your back and legs should form a rough V where the pointy side or fulcrum is your behind. With your knees slightly bent, your behind should jut out a bit. Weight in each foot should be in the mid. Your arms should hang without tension. Every time you swing, your spine shouldn’t move much.

Swing it. Take a couple of swings in front of the mirror. Go over these pre-swing checks each time you doubt what you're doing. Keep to the same grip and tension on each swing. Practice these drills 10 minutes a day, until just before your Scotland golf holiday departure date.

Be sure to remember these tips as you pack for your Scotland golf holiday. The good thing about this is that you can tell your golfing buddies you're not getting much time to practice your swing at all, and then you can surprise them on the golf course, during your vacation. No time on the range involved, and no personal trainer to pay for.
