Select Hotels In Spain Without Blowing A Hole In Your Pocket

Are you planning to go the lovely country of Spain where you will spend your summer holidays? If yes, you need a place to stay, and that means staying in one of the many fine hotels in Spain. However, what if you are on a shoestring budget? What if you are monitoring your expenses carefully?

Well, don't worry. Just follow these suggestions so you can have a pleasant stay in hotels in Spain without draining your account.

* Book earlier. By booking your stay in advance, you may be able to avail of a discount or freebie. Hotels in Spain and in any other country in the world tend to boost their prices when they are fully booked.

* Schedule your trip during off season. Hotels usually set a higher prices during peak season to take advantage of the influx of visitors. But to make business during off season, they drop their prices to attract patrons.

* Ask other people. There are travel forums, chat groups, and other sites where you can ask suggestions for nice but cheap hotels in Spain. A lot of these people are reliable ex-patrons of these hotels.

* Avoid booking your stay on weekends. Prices during weekends are quite high because there is more demand for hotel rooms on those days. Book your stay anywhere from Monday to Thursday to get a nicer deal.

* Do away with unwanted accessories. Stay in a hotel that lacks a pool, restaurant, or spa if you don't require those facilities in the first place. For instance, would you really want to pay extra for a hotel with a pool when the beach is just a stone's throw away?

* Location is a significant factor in price determination. Generally, hotels near the city center are more costly than those that are at the borders of the metropolis. Of course, you also have to consider the convenience of getting to your destination.

* Check if your credit card or airline has a tie-up with the hotel you choose to stay in. Member hotels generally offer some sort of discount or freebie if you use your card or frequent flyer miles.
