Barcelona is situated in the perfect place to enjoy lots of sunshine and warm summers.
It is found in the north of Spain on the Mediterranean coast. Throughout the year there is usually masses of sunlight and little rain. In winter months temperatures are of course cooler but often mild compared with the remainder of Europe.

In turn, the summers are generally warm and can reach the mid 30s. In truth this year the weather has been hot much earlier than usual. In Apr temperatures sometimes reach around the high teens however the 1st week of Apr saw temperatures reach 30C. This however is mostly bizarre although not atypical.

Though the sun is glorious, you'll of course get days when the weather is much cooler and rainier. But sometimes the rain is very rare, with customarily only 1 day of rain rather than uninterrupted days.

Spring and autumn in Barcelona, often follows the same weather pattern and the days are dry and fine. In fact in October temperatures can still be in the mid-teens. Like has been mentioned before even spring ( April ) can see temperatures hitting high summer temperatures ideal for a spring getaway in one of the many Barcelona Hostels
The summers bring very high temperatures and the city can get real busy. You should always wear suntan / sunblock making absolutely certain that you stay safe in the sun! The beach is a great place to go to take a break from the hot weather and take a swim in the sea .
