The History and Present of the Golden State Language Translation
The western most continental state of California has always been occupied by diverse populations, races and languages. It goes without saying that within the state of California, one can find an abundance of translation professionals who are proficient in nearly any language and subject.
San Francisco, once the chief seaport and the metropolis of California and the Pacific Coast, has always been an important home to immigrants from all over the world. Today, the San Francisco Bay area combines high tech with very international characteristics that include elements of both Latin and Asian traditions. There is also a Little Italy and a Chinese quarter of which no other city has the like. San Francisco Chinatown is the largest Chinese community on the West Coast, and the second largest in the United States next to New York City's settlement. The earthquake of 1906 had destroyed nearly all birth records in the city and allowed Chinese-born men to claim that they were American citizens. Consequently, they made the legal claim that to bring their families to America. When the new Chinatown was built it was considerably more cleaner and was greeted with open arms by the community. Because the new Chinatown was rebuilt at its original site on valuable property, the improved construction and sanitation allowed businesses such as San Francisco Translation Services to prosper.
Just like San Francisco, San Jose offers a wide variety of exciting cultural, recreational, educational and entertainment opportunities. Only 50-minutes away from San Francisco, is the city of San Jose which is warm during summer with temperatures in the 70's and cool during winter with temperatures in the 50's. As it turned out, San José became California's first civilian settlement in 1797 and was the site of the first state capital of California. With a population of over 1-million people, San José is the third largest city in California and is the 10th largest city in the U.S. Around the year 1845, the population of the area swelled to nearly 800 people. When tracing back through the history of San Jose, one can readily identify the Hispanic culture that influenced the development. In the last years of Mexican dominion it was the most prominent of the northern settlements in which the Hispano-Californian element predominated over the new American element. As such, San Jose Translation Services have always played an integral role in the affairs of the city. While San Jose was under the protection of the United States forces, it was attacked by the Indians in the region only 11 years later. San Jose was the first capital of the state of California and in 1850 was chartered as a city.
Unlike San Francisco and San Jose, San Diego is a metropolitan area located in southern California. It’s hard to believe that the original Spanish settlement that still stands today can be toured and is only a few miles away from the busy downtown business district. This area was always multilingual because of its closeness to Mexico and the fact that it changed hands numerous times. Indeed, San Diego Translator service has grown and moved with the city. Over time, the number of people living in the community decreased. San Diego is now known as the new section that was planned way back in the 1860's.
