Vacations In Fuerteventura
Famous for its stunning sand dunes and excellent beaches, the island of Fuerteventura makes up one of the 7 Canary islands and is most definitely an island worth discovering.
Although a much less commercialised island than that of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, it is still a very good holiday destination with a lot of attractions for young and old.
For beach lovers, there are more than a hundred and fifty to choose from, however the magnificent beaches of Costa Calma are well worth a visit much like the beaches at El Cotillo in the North. Wonderful lagoons are created when the tide goes out which are perfect for young kids to safely play in until the sun goes down.
The busy resort of Corralejo is situated in the North of the island and provides a good number of attractions to help keep everyone amused whilst on holiday. The newly constructed ‘Baku’ water park now boasts a theme park next door with day-to-day entertainment for both children and adults. Boats to Lanzarote can be found at the port with the new jet foil taking only twelve minutes to reach Lanzarote shores.
If you're after a more relaxed holiday then the resort of Caleta de Fuste is perfect. A smaller resort than Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste (or El Castillo as its commonly known) still has plenty to do and boasts a range of bars and restaurants with cuisines from all over the world. The man made beach has been designed with children in mind making it a safe place to play while adults relax on the beach or enjoy some of the water sports on offer at the adjacent harbour.
Fuerteventura has it all so whether you are looking for a beach holiday, relaxing couple of weeks or a vacation of partying, the island has become a popular, all year round, holiday destination for both couples and families.
