Why It's Time to Go by Bike with Trek Mountain Bikes and Road Bikes

Trek Bicycle Corporation, the company behind both Trek mountain bikes and road bikes have been known for years for their advocacy work almost as much as their quality bikes. This month they have renewed their support of some of the biggest cycling advocacy groups in the UK, by backing Go By Bike month for the second consecutive year. Through the month there’ll be offers at participating dealers of trek mountain bikes and road bikes so if you were going to treat yourself to a Trek, do it this month! With their purchase from the range of Trek mountain bikes or road bikes in the month of June, customers will be offered twelve months’ membership to either the LCC or the CTC. There’s also a free cycling information pack from sustainability group Sustrans. As well as all this, participating dealers will be giving away a free helmet with a purchase of Trek mountain bikes or road bikes in June.

Trek first launched the Go by Bike campaign in June 2009. Its bottom line aim was to encourage people to use cycling as a means of transport and leisure. This year’s campaign aims to do the same whilst offering additional support to existing cyclists. This is why there is also advocacy group membership on offer this year rather than just special offers on Trek mountain bikes and road bikes. Trek’s aim in giving free membership to the LCC or CTC is to give more support to existing cyclists and giving new cyclists the confidence to get on their two wheels. Because there are huge health, financial and environmental benefits to cycling, any support is always welcome. This all means of course that if you were thinking about getting Trek mountain bikes or road bikes, this is the month to do it!
